I’m surprised you are advocating for Gabbard, Hal. She holds some good positions on many issues, but, like you say, has “well-documented faults.” (e.g. she is “conflicted on torture.”) She is worth keeping an eye on, but at this point I would prefer a more consistent, reliable progressive, like Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, or Kamala Harris.
This is one reason why, for all her well-documented faults, we should carefully consider voting for Tulsi Gabbard in the Democratic primaries. She has been the strongest and most consistent anti-intervention voice in Washington over the past decade. The other reason is that she is the one announced candidate who hasn’t wavered or equivocated in her support for Medicare-for-All.
