The Pothole Problem

FDR would have put Americans back to work shoring up our crumbling infrastructure, which would jumpstart the stalled economy. But that makes too much sense for the GOP to even consider, or for Democrats to fight for.

    The 2009 stimulus was inadequate to make much of a difference. I’d like to see the Democrats push hard for a bigger one (but I won’t hold my breath.

    Well, the 2009 stimulus and last year’s jobs bill were supposed do just that. But it’s kind of hard to win a fight when your opponent wins just by refusing to fight.
