Why Obama Has to Win

I’m no fan of President Obama. He has been a major disappointment for me and most progressives. That said, I want him to win, if for no other reason than the Supreme Court hangs in the balance. And that is HUGE.

I don’t think 73-year old Breyer will last 15-20 years in case of Obama win. And I think Scalia is the one justice who would not want to retire until he would be replaced by a conservative.

I am probably not as disappointed as some because I always figured him for a moderate, but his civil liberties records stinks and I don’t like all these drone strikes. But on balance (and I lived in Massachusetts when Mittens was governor) Romney would make a terrible President. And not just because of the Court which is huge. He would be terrible because he really isn’t interested in governing, just in being called President Romney. (and may that be the last time I write that!)
